At Widowing Well with Hope, we believe that the church has a vital role to play in the healing of widows. We understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate life after the loss of a spouse, and we want to help churches create a safe and supportive environment for widows. Our guide is designed to help churches build out a widow ministry that meets the unique needs of this community. We believe that by working together, we can help widows find hope and healing.
Egypt Effect
The "Egypt effect" is such a rich spiritual picture. The Israelites' longing for Egypt wasn't really about wanting slavery back. Instead, it was about craving comfort, predictability, and familiarity, even if those things were wrapped in chains.
Freedom Doesn't Always Feel Free at First. Look at the Israelites. They were physically free yet emotionally tied to Egypt's rhythms (Numbers 11:4-6).

A reminder that freedom can feel foreign, even unsafe, because it lacked the predictable structure (even unhealthy ones) I was used to.
